Military Products (MIL-Spec Oils)

Simmons Synthetics is affiliated with one of a few companies in the U.S. to be granted the right to produce (Mil-Spec) Military Specification, lubricating & "super" clean fluids for today's Army, Navy, and Air forces. In fact, every single one of these lubricating fluids are manufactured in the U.S. and must meet strict guidelines in order to be considered for use. HYDRAULIC OILS
MIL-PRF-5606H	Is recommended in closed airless systems from -54C(-65F) to +135C(+275F) and in open systems up to +71C(160F).
MIL-PRF-6083	Iis intended for use in aircraft, ordnance and other general hydraulic use, and for preserving hydraulic components
MIL-PRF-87257A	Intended for use in aircraft and missile hydraulic systems
MIL-PRF-83282D	Super Clean Synthetic Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluid (Operational)
NAVY OILS
MIL-PRF 17672	Intended for use in shipboard hydraulic systems not requiring the use of a fire resistant fluid
ENGINE OILS
MIL-PRF 2104	Motor oils have the oxidation stability necessary to withstand the high crankcase temperatures encountered in over-the-road service
SAE-J 1966	Aircraft Piston Engine Oil, (Ashless Nondispersant)
SAE-J 1899	Highly refined paraffinic based oils, ashless dispersants and oxidation inhibitors
TURBINE OILS
MIL-PRF 6081	Is designed for use in jet engines and other high speed turbines where a mineral based fluid is required though a wide range of operating conditions
