The use of petroleum lubricants, primary automatic transmission fluid (ATF), in rotary screw and rotary vane compressors results in the formation of varnish and carbon. ALV varnish remover can help alleviate the problems caused by varnish and carbon. ALV varnish remover is designed to be used as an additive in the lubricant to remove and suspend varnish while the compressor is in operation. Using ALV varnish remover eliminated the need for disassembling the compressor for cleaning. For maximum benefit, use ALV varnish remover prior to each lubricant change. Note: ALV varnish remover can be used for cleaning Heat Transfer systems with temperatures up to 400°F. Also, it can be used for cleaning high temperature chains.
